DRINKS WELL WITH OTHERS: NEW YORK BREWERIES

Posted on

Summertime is the perfect time to unwind in a chill, low-key spot, preferably with some alcohol involved. Breweries are popping up all over Brooklyn and surrounding areas. Craft beer is very ~trendy~ right now. If you haven't yet been to a brewery, you MUST go! It's a nice change to try some local craft beers and switch up your usual order at the bar, which for me is usually just, "Whatever cheap beer you have on tap, please!"

Grab your drinking buddy and pick a brewery—you can even find some deals on Groupon! You can enjoy tasting packages, trying several (or, uh, all) of the beers they brew, and take some back home with you. You might not love every kind, but you'll totally have a learning experience and get to try new things that you wouldn't at your usual bar.

Here are a few of our picks for breweries in and around Brooklyn (AKA, Queens and Long Island). Bonus points if you make it to all of them before summer's over.
